The details in car maintenance have caused an increase in fuel consumption

As long as the maintenance and replacement of some parts are done well, and the maintenance and replacement of parts are simply paid attention to in daily car use, the fuel consumption will be reduced.

1. Check tire pressure and tire wear frequently

If the tire pressure is too low, the friction between the tire and the ground will increase, the resistance will increase, and the fuel consumption will increase.

If you find that the sliding distance of the car is significantly reduced during driving, you should check whether the air pressure of the tires meets the air pressure standard.

The normal tire pressure is around 2.5bar, which can be appropriately reduced by 0.1bar in summer.

Also remember to check the wear level of the tires. If the tires are severely worn, slippage will often occur, and the fuel consumption will also increase. Generally, a new set of tires must be replaced every 50,000 kilometers.

2. Pay attention to oil products and clean up carbon deposits

Many car owners don't pay attention to oil products. Poor quality gasoline will increase carbon deposits. Excessive carbon deposits will roughen the wall of the intake pipe, affect the intake effect and the quality of the mixture, and increase the fuel consumption sharply.

Therefore, the quality of gasoline cannot be ignored, and it is essential to clean up carbon deposits every six months.

3. Replace the oxygen sensor at 80,000-110,000 kilometers

This is a ceramic element located on the engine exhaust pipe that senses and controls the ratio of oxygen to fuel.

After a long time of use, the computer of the electronic fuel injection system cannot obtain the information of the oxygen concentration in the exhaust pipe, the mixture concentration in the engine tends to be high, and the fuel consumption will also increase.

Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the condition of the oxygen sensor, which usually needs to be replaced at 80,000 to 110,000 kilometers.

Fourth, regular replacement of spark plugs

The function of the spark plug is to ignite the mixture by generating an electric spark with high voltage electricity. If it is damaged, the ignition energy will drop, and the mixture will burn unevenly, resulting in a slower acceleration of the car and an increase in fuel consumption.

The life of ordinary spark plugs is only 30,000-50,000 kilometers, the life of iridium spark plugs is about 50,000-80,000 kilometers, and the life of platinum spark plugs can reach 100,000 kilometers!

5. Regularly replace the battery

The battery controls the circuits in the car, and the circuits are closely related to the oil circuit. Because the battery is generally used for 2-3 years, there will be a power loss phenomenon, resulting in insufficient starting voltage, and the motor is weak to drive the engine, making the ignition energy lower and fuel consumption soaring.

So don't think that the battery can continue to be used if it is not damaged. If you want to reduce fuel consumption, you must replace the battery regularly.
