What is a cantilever racking system?
A cantilever racking system organizes large, lengthy items, such as lumber, pipes, drywall and steel. These racks have a base at the bottom of the unit and vertical columns (also referred to as uprights) at the rear of the unit. Horizontal and Diagonal bracing is used to connect the columns together to make a run. Cantilevered Arms are then attached to the uprights to create multiple storage levels. Because of this design, cantilever racks are easy for forklift loading and retrieval making this system ideal for heavy items.

How do cantilever racks work?
Cantilever racks increase storage capacity and handling efficiencies by organizing unwieldy, hard-to-store items. This storage solution is designed with a base at the bottom of the unit and vertical columns at the rear of the unit. Cantilevered arms are attached to these vertical columns, which offer wide open access at the front of the racking, allowing operations to store any width material. The open-front design makes it easy to load and unload items, saving employees valuable time.
These racks are customizable. The arms are available in different sizes so the system can be tailored to the needs of the business. In addition, these units can be used in indoor or outdoor storage areas.
